Hooked this up to my Xbox to replace a Yamaha receiver. Wow what a difference! This really added the sound I was looking for when playing games. Better sound and more realistic. I am glad I bought this receiver.

For the money, especially when on sale, this receiver is decent. I have several stereos, but wanted something with surround that draws less power than my other receivers and integrated amps and had limited space in my cabinet. This unit will be used often but not for critical listening. This receiver only draws 200 watts which is pretty efficient. There is one critical flaw with this unit. When using analog sources (any of the RCA inputs) you will only get a signal from the subwoofer out when using one of the surround modes. You can’t listen to two channel stereo and have the subwoofer on if the input source in analog. The only options for getting the sub to turn on when using an analog RCA input is to use 4 channel stereo, Dolby pro logic music, or switch to a 2.1 pattern and use 2 channel stereo. But if you switch the speaker pattern all the speaker settings like speaker size and crossover settings get reset. So if you also use this for surround, it’s not practical to switch the speaker pattern and have to redo the set up. If you use the radio, Bluetooth, coaxial or optical input the sub out will work in all sound modes. But if you use something with RCAs you’re out of luck. I have owned many surround receivers and have never run into this issue. I understand why direct mode wouldn’t use the sub out, but there should be an option for 2 channel stereo with the sub regardless of the source. There’s no question the processor can support it. Pro logic music and 4 channel stereo sounds like crap in my opinion, I would never use them for listening to music. I still have not decided if I’m going to keep this as I use it for music often using the headphone out from an iPhone and really want to hear the sub. The comparably priced Denon and Onkyo receivers do not have this limitation. But I was lucky and bought this on sale and open box so the price was pretty good. But at full price I would recommend one of the other options.

This was exactly what I needed! I set up my small home theater system and I chose this specific model because it’s enough to connect my current speakers and it has the option for me to expand in the future. It’s nice to know that module is capable enough to run my current set up and not worry about buying another one if I want to install more speakers in the future (if my wallet allows it haha)

Returned a Denon and exchanged it for a Sony receiver and am very happy with it.

I’m pretty happy with the receiver but I should have bought one with Bluetooth.

I love the quality of sound it generates. But I’m kind of upset that the UI is very old school command like appearance . For 2020 UI could be better . And remote is bit weird and feels cheap.

First of all I needed a good amp tuner that was a certain size, especially height to fit under my TV. This is perfect. It also has the features that I wanted and sounds great. The price was right so I am a happy customer!

Works well hooked up to my Sony Bravia TV. Good service.

I replace a old head unit with this very pleased with the results it is hooked up to bose cube speakers and sony sub woofer I was going to buy the sonos arc and sub woofer but this head unit saved me a lot of money

This new receiver works great! It is easy to switch between inputs, and I have had no issues so far.

I’m a Cable Cord Cutter and it (the receiver) adapts to all media sources automatically! It’s adaptive in the source that’s selected, with also changing speaker arrangements that’s best suited for the application. The option/feature to power receiver on with Apple airplay is phenomenal! The 4K pass through is exquisite! And the added plus is the option to have 2 sub outlets would have to be the icing on the cake! No real negative. If your looking for a solid device that’s dependable and deliver when commanded, your search has ended! I compared even higher end receivers and it has proven to be a solid purchase. When it turns on, it admits a solid clunk sound so you know the internal breaker has engaged, but it gives a nostalgic impression on a sleek modern unit.

Set up was super easy. We had high quality speakers but the receiver broke. This is a great addition if you are not looking for a sound bar set up. We love it.

Very nice receiver/amplifier, well worth the money. Easy to use, full featured, if modest power output. If you don't need to have your neighbors sharing your music, this will work for you.

I had a ton of trouble finding a receiver that actually worked with the PS4 Pro/ PSVR, Xbox One X, and Apple TV. This works perfectly with all of them. I bought some Yamaha speakers to go with it and now everything sounds awesome also.

Has all the features I need at a good price. I have a medium sized space and this has more than enough power. Good quality build as well.

I wanted a simple Receiver, and this was good. I would have preferred it if it was simpler, however, good enough. I wanted one of the old time simple receivers with modern technology.
