The specifications and reviews appeared to favor this receiver over a competitive Yamaha unit. Also, the Sony unit had a lower price tag (after Best Buy price matched Amazon). However, I would prefer to have my old Yamaha receiver back in working condition instead of this Sony unit. I am not as happy with Sony’s controls nor the surround sound effect.

Powers all my in wall and ceiling speakers. My Tech Guy says I'm old school and that now everyone is using sound bars, but I like the surround that I get with my older system.
