It is a proprietary connector and will not work with any other 3rd party antennas and Sony does not make a powered antenna.

I would have given it 5 stars, but I am having difficulty getting any FM stations. I've bought an additional antenna, but there is no way to hook it to the receiver. Still trying to figure it out or I am going to return it and upgrade.

Our only issue is that we wish we had purchased a receiver that allowed us to have something different in different rooms. It's a great tool for home use and provides easy control with the other units. There's not much more to say that it's a wonderful piece of equipment and does more than I need and will grow with out system.

The salesman/clerk said it was compatible. I don't know if the salesman just didn't know, aka ignorant, or he was just running up the money I spent. I invested many hours on this Sony receiver and the Sony turntable attempting to pair them together. Additionally, I had the Geek Squad come to my house to connect these two Sony products but they were not compatible. Plus the money in gas and time for three trips to Best Buy, from New Bern, NC to Morehead City, NC, 120 miles total. Ended up returning both.

Nice piece of equipment, with lots of options

Only drawback is price - couldn't find a sale, and nearly $300 for this was pushing my budget. As long as it holds up, i won't mind in the end.

Not the loadest or cleanest unit but certainly acceptable for the price. No real negatives so far. Bluetooth connectivity works well with apple or android devi es. Pleased with my purchase. Good value.
