Does not have the antenna range to pick up weaker channels despite them being in the local area. Overall sound quality is decent.

We do apologize for the inconvenience. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an AV receiver.

Good overall, but has a stupid connection for FM

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A mono-pole FM antenna (single wire) is provided, but there is no way (short of fabricating your own) to connect a better fm antenna. For their antenna connection, Sony choose to use the tiny plug that connects portable phones to their battery. So... no coaxial nor screw type connections, and if you live where signals are weaker, you may be sol. I bought an old classic tuner on Ebay which had screw type connections, that I could connect to the Sony receiver, so I don't use the built in tuner at all.
