      Thanks for the feedback. We want to say sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver

    Unprecedented That Sony would build such a piece of junk. firstly the tuner is horrible and cheap, the antenna and its worthless connection are garbage. The sound is ok, but so cheaply built. I would NOT recommend this receiver. Sony You Should be ashamed of Your selves for this!

    Our reciever quit on our surround system purchased 2 years ago from Best Buy. They told us this reciever would work with our surround sound system. Nothing worked together. The reciever wound up going into the garage and we are without a surround sound system unless we buy the whole kit AGAIN. NOT HAPPY

    Almost a whole year.

    It almost lasted a year and then…”protect”. My last Sony died the same way but it lasted over 20 years and sounded better than the new one.

    picture quality is fine but the usability is terrible interface is trash kept having sound issues bought a dennon after wasting hours messing with the sony and took me 10 mins to get the entire thing setup

    This is my third Sony receiver over a span of about 15 years. They have the benefit of being very low profile so that they fit in my audio cabinet.

    Protect Mode that is all. after 4 months this is the message i get and the receiver shuts off. it doesn't work. i have completed all steps to troubleshoot this piece of crap and it still doesn't work. Now stuck with a 350 dollar paper weight. You would think Sony could put out quality products but nope they sure as heck don't.

    I’m already going to have to send it back to Sony for repair because one of the channels quit working on it and Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy so now I’m going to have to pay for shipping to the Sony shop

    Works great. Have it connected to my xbox, apple TV, and Cable. Also works great with my existing Onkyo speakers and yamaha subwoofer.

    The receiver behaved in a confusing manner: switched by itself to Spanish (from English) language; speakers connected to the unit would not function; when speakers began functioning, they alterntely put out sound, then shut off.

    I would not buy if you are going to use it with Apple TV. The 4K passthrough promised by Sony does not work. It actually downgrades the quality. Returning to buy Dennon.
