Easy install in an RV

It works very well and has great sound. The reasons I did not give it five stars are: there is no output for a passive subwoofer, the startup state always seems to hijack the system back to a startup screen (as apposed to the last mode used, which would be preferred), and the only way to choose preset FM stations is to scroll through them at the beginning of the list each time you want a different station. There is no direct entry option. But so far, this unit has performed very well.

Each time a movie is player through the DVD player, it calibrates to ensure you are receiving the best sound. Low profile design to fit the smallest spaces. I bought this for my neighbor and will likely be purchasing one for myself.

I purchased this primarily due to price as my very old receiver died out after about 20 years (also sony). Ive been using sony receivers for quite some time so decided to keep the brand going. However, there is an issue with ARC that users need to know about. When using ARC everytime you turn on your system you get a pop up menu to select what you are using the receiver for. No way of turning this off and is quite annoying. Sony says this is by design and no way of turning it off other than disabling ARC which then defeats the purpose of using the Smart features like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu etc. I've gotten used to just selecting the options every time i turn on my system but surely would have probably gone with another brand if I would have known this! VERY ANNOYING FEATURE! Regardless of that the receiver is actually very good, but sony needs to find a way of letting us turn that off!

To switch the audio from AV receiver to TV speakers. You need to configure it under TV settings, not in the AV receiver settings.

good sound quality and surround sound

Bluetooth is great! However keep in mind it doesnt have features like chromecast or apple air play that are in some of the higher end devices do that allow for even better sound quality than bluetooth.

Very loud, Bluetooth is great with a long range on it. Only think I would like to be able to do is control the A and B speakers independently. I can have A only, but I cannot have B only. I have 3 speakers in the garage, and 3 speakers on the outside of the garage for the back yard. Currently I can have garage speakers only, or garage and yard. Other than that little things, I am very pleased with this unit.

This unit is great if you are just going to have front surround, where it shines. I did not fully appreciate the 5.1 from it, and I want both to be very good.
