Easy upgrade

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this unit from another Sony home theater receiver that was 10 years old and still going strong, but didn't support 4K or newer audio encoding (to match my new-ish Sony TV) or a bluetooth source, which the new one does. The swap was easy, just moving cables and connections from the old unit to the new. It worked from the start. I like the automated speaker level setting capability - it worked the first time. A bonus is that I can now (mostly) operate all my devices (Sony and otherwise) using just the Sony TV's remote control. I'm very happy.

Setup was easy and I found this receiver looked a little better than the other receivers that were on display. For the on sale price I highly recommend it.

It was easy to set up, and really filled the room. I used my original Sony speakers with no issues. On top of all that it looks great too.

Great affordable surround sound.

It offers all the features I needed for my living room theater. My only complaint is that doesn't seem to fully function with the Xbox Series X. Surround sound works with some games and not others. Same with apps. Might be an issue on the Xbox or TV. Its also important to note; when plugging devices, like gaming consoles, directly into the receiver, it only supports 60fps. You will need a higher end model to get 4k/120fps.

The sound is good; setup was relatively easy. I would suggest, if not owned, purchasing TV with the bells and whistles that will maximize what this receivers capabilities.
