    Bought this receiver as the "base" for the sound system in our den/office. Receiver has many options to get the sound you want. Paired this receiver with Sony floorstanding speakers, Sony active subwoofer, a Teac CD player (with USB connection) and a Audio-Technica turntable. Couldn't be happier how the system turned out! The Best Buy technician was very helpful guiding me through the purchase/setup process. The Sony display at the store was what sold me.

    I purchased this receiver to replace an Onkyo receiver which overheated. I have had this Sony receiver Since April and it met my expectations so far. My family room isn't huge, but this unit fills the space with sound from my legacy Onkyo speakers and sub. I am only using a center speaker and two fronts along with the sub and the receiver manages to still broadcast rich surround sound, without, rear speakers. I'm very satisfied with this unit.
