I pair this with BOSE Acoustimass 10 Series IV. It sound perfectly and power of Sony 725W is definitely enough to drive these speakers. My family room is fairly large enough in a single family home. I also like the low profile of this unit. Glad that I make the good choice after months of research.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i brought this to replace my old receiver and was surprised by the sound quality...just great sound! i have a 5.1 system and if you are a novice you have a mic system you can set and use to balance the sound of each speaker.a pro like me the sony has an easy manual setup where you can balance each speaker and control the volume.one downside is no dolby atmos but not needed if you have a 5.1 system the dolby digital is fine.if you use a soundbar or 2 speaker setup it even has a front surround setting.

Decent, but Could Do Without the Popping

My biggest issue is it constantly "pops" when switching channels or inputs. Sound is fine for basic movie watching. 4k pass through doesn't seem to negatively affect the image.

Posted .Hi TophTurner, Great! We're very happy you like the solid built quality of the unit. With regards to placement of the receiver, please make sure to place the receiver in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and prolong the life of the receiver.
To ensure you're getting the best Bluetooth connection, please follow the guidelines and steps below:
-The receiver and the BLUETOOTH device
are too far apart.
-If there are obstructions between the
receiver and your BLUETOOTH device,
remove these or move the receiver
and/or device avoid them.
-Erase the pairing registration information
of the BLUETOOTH device on the
BLUETOOTH device and perform the
pairing operation again.

Programing speak distances 5.2 is all i need. I had 7.2 w denom but this is 140w per channel. Clearer and liuder less distortion better base also. Just no startup volume programmable settings. Minir.

It works perfectly with minimal configuration. One remote operation. It turns on and off automatically with the tv and volume is controlled by the tv remote. We had a quote from someone after building the new house. Wiring was pre-speaker and I was concerned about doing it myself. But this was simple and sounds great. The quote included a Yamaha. But we love Sony and I compared the two models and chose this one instead. Everything we have except for the Jammo 8' woofer is Sony, and it didn't disappoint.
