My son is impressed as he uses it as a two channel system for now. Although loves the fact that once he upgrades his tv he will be ready. The audio is detailed and warm. A real plus for him and his gaming setup.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was as great on audio sound on TV and Movies, but spending hours and calls to support, because I just couldn’t get to even a 50% decent stereo sound on Pandora, FM stereo or any music format. Really odd and doesn’t make sense, but tried every trick in the book to get music audio to sound anywhere near decent. Several other reviews said the same thing as I found trying to get a decent music sound from this receiver. Returned and went with a pioneer Elite 105 which BLOWS this away in every category.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had it for two weeks using an optical cable with a Bravia TV, got bored and found the ARC jacks on the back and connected with an HDMI cable. Turned on the TV, the amp turned on by itself and shut down the TV speakers automatically. The amp sounds twice as good now, and can be controlled with the TV remote.

With my new receiver, it now sounds like the movie theater! I love it. I watch movies from my lift/recliner chair, and now I don't have to get up to adjust the volume. That is a huge deal for me. I already knew my speaker distances, but used the auto anyway just to see. All auto measurements were accurate within a half inch with my measurements. Overall, I am happy with this purchase, I would say it was worth buying.

It runs seamlessly with other Sony devices. Many operations are performed automatically whether or not you want them to. And some options are not available (if you plug in a headphone power to the speakers is turned off, no choice).
