Pushes my Klipsch speakers like I expected. The bluetooth is a nice convenience since I get all my music from my phone. Can be used as an HDMI switch as well.

Paired up with new Sony SC3S speakers, new Sony subwoofer and WOW the sound is incredible. My only regret is i didn't get the 7.1 channel receiver for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X codecs... Overall, this is a great value for mid-range receiver options and it's the best bang for your bucks...

Despite its shortcomings, it punches above its weight class sonically. Once connected and operational, the issues are inconsequential.

A Little Workhorse

I only needed them for Apple TV to play on the TV with audio through the receiver and in turn gym speakers. I had used prior version of Apple TV with optical inputs, but the newer Apple TV didn't have the optical output, and it as a pain to sync video and audio. This Sony did the video trick and passes the signal well with good picture. What surprised me for this price point was the receivers power. Just as loud, but cleaner than the large well known receiver it replaced. Sub output works perfectly now the overall sound system in our gym works wonderful. Easy for my wife to navigate, loud enough me for me when I'm pumping iron.

It works great with a paid of Definitive Technology D7 speakers. Stream music from my IPAD and iPhone, ApplePlay works great, No DAC but it has a circuit that acts like one. So really happy. Great value.

A little learning to find all the capabilities of this receiver. With Sony SS CS 5 speakers and Sony Subwoofers, it fills up a large room with powerful sound. The Bluetooth is easy to use and has good range.

I purchased this Sony amp along with the matching Sony floor speakers, center speaker, and subwoofer. This system replaced a very nice Samsung soundbar system, and all I can say is after plugging this in, there's no going back to a soundbar. The dedicated left, right, and center audio creates immersion and engagement in a way that no other type of sound system can. Soundbars are trying to replicate the effect of a dedicated surround system. There is something that takes the audio experience from normal audio to a literal home theater experience that will have anyone in the room glued to the screen. Also there's not one type of media that sounds great on here. Audio is reproduced accurately from movies, music, to video games. Hear everything as it is meant to be heard. One point of note - be sure to select Multi Channel on the bluetooth mode, as multiple speakers, including the subwoofer are not automatically turned on. Multi- channel has to be selected. If I have a con on this product, it is that the display on the receiver can only be viewed at certain angles. If you are standing directly above the receiver, the text on the screen appears blank. Small gripe, but worth pointing out.
