Do not buy if you want Dolby Atmos!!!

I called Sony and their technical support team could not help. I tried several times and escalated the call up to the top tier and they said that there was nothing that they could do to make it work. There is not even a selection in the menu for Dolby Atmos. I am very disappointed in Sony.

Every step you take is being watched but also ignored. When I went in to buy this receiver, the salesperson ignored me until I stated that I needed it>

Both TV and receiver support Dolby Atmos. Geek Squad delivered and connected the TV and receiver to my existing Bose speakers system. When I play content that supports Atmos standards, the audio and video experience is amazing.

malfunctioned in less than a year

Please try some solutions below if you can't make a BLUETOOTH connection:
• The BLUETOOTH device you attempted to connect does not support the A2DP profile, and cannot be connected with the receiver.
• Press BLUETOOTH to connect to the last connected BLUETOOTH device.
• Turn on the BLUETOOTH function of the BLUETOOTH device.
• Establish a connection from the BLUETOOTH device.
• The pairing registration information has been erased. Perform the pairing operation again.
• While connected to a BLUETOOTH device, this receiver cannot be detected.
• Erase the pairing registration information of the BLUETOOTH device on the BLUETOOTH device and perform the pairing operation again.

Beware of Bravia Sync

First one was fried by the first TV. Sony replaced TV and receiver was returned to Best Buy. Second has similar problems with Sync , turning on and off when should be off. Too late to return now.

Underpowered surround unit

It will do a decent job in a small to medium sized room, but may struggle with larger rooms. Also, one big gripe I have is that the all channel stereo feature does NOT play through the center channel, only the front and rear speakers.
