Terrific home theater receiver.

I also upgraded my TV and speakers at the same time (all Sony) and I couldn't be happier. My prior receiver and primary floor speakers were actually too powerful for the smaller space I have them in now. Also the sound output is amazing now what with the Dolby Atmos and HDR output capability.

Good for the price

Being a guy I did not read the instructions, so I had some trouble with the receiver always going into "protect" mode. However, with a little help, I got it set correctly now and I am very happy. I am using it to power a set of Klipsch surround speakers and it does not disappoint whatsoever.

Powerful Receiver

The automated balancing system worked excellent and balanced my speaker outputs and EQ very well, which solved the issue of my center channel overpowering my mains. The bluetooth connection is strong, too. I am using it for music and 5.1 setup, bouncing between stereo and 5.1 is a breeze.

Great Sony receiver

After having several issues with another brand receiver, I went back to Sony and found it to have more features at a lower cost. It is perfect for handling the speakers in my home theater and the program was downloaded to my remote by the Geek Squad for complete one touch operation.

Good middle level receiver

The next level up receiver with wi-fi was twice the cost so I went with this model since I am not using for full blown A/V activities all the time. This will get the job done for most set ups.

We have it paired with a Sony OLED and they work great together. We're running a 5.2.2 system for now and all the speakers sound great. Setup is a little dated but it works well once you figure it out. Would definitely recommend as an entry level Atmos receiver

I am using it in a 5.0.2 set-up in a small room. Great sound, great speaker distance adjustments. If you love to hear dialog just turn the center speaker up and be amazed.

Great receiver for the price

I had a problem with my old one the volume had a mind of its own. But, its nice to sit and control it with a remote. Sound is great. The problems I have is trying to setup the right speaker configuration and when I turn it on I have to use the remote to get rid of the screens for my cable and tv. Otherwise we love it

We are sorry to hear what happen. You can adjust the level of each speaker (front left/right, center, subwoofer, surround left/right, surround back left/right and height left/right).
1. Select [Speaker Setting] from the home menu
2. Press UP, and then press LEFT / RIGHT repeatedly to select [Level]
3. Press UP / DOWN to select the speaker you want to adjust, then press center button.
4. Press UP / DOWN to adjust the level, then press center button.
NOTE: You can also adjust the level of each speaker from the “<LEVEL>” menu on the display panel

Replaced an old Yamaha that I had bought for our TV Room when I first put in surround sound 15 years ago. the front side speaker port went out. I replaced it with this and it has been great.

Upgraded from old receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not only that all the new gadgets have HDMI connections (previous all were RCA) but the Bluetooth feature makes it so easy to stream. The great sound quality coming out of my Polk Audio speakers is more enjoyable now. Price was right. I chose this one in particular because the space I have on my entertainment center is only 6 inches high. Most nowadays are a lot higher. Perfect fit.
