I wasn't even turned away from it due to the many negative reviews I read on reliability issues. So as I looked past the cheap build quality, I found that I was too limited in the ports offered. I have a few older components and there aren't enough HDMI inputs if I put them all on adapters.

Do not buy if you want Dolby Atmos!!!

I called Sony and their technical support team could not help. I tried several times and escalated the call up to the top tier and they said that there was nothing that they could do to make it work. There is not even a selection in the menu for Dolby Atmos. I am very disappointed in Sony.

5 seconds.“CLEARING” appears on the display panel during initialization. When initialization is complete, “CLEARED ” appears on the display panel.

All they needed to do is grab one or two items for people that were already paid for but they couldn’t figure out how to greet or literally do anything . My order was ready along w 3 other people in the parking lot we all waited a half hour for the 3 visible people to get our orders out not counting the probably 5 that were inside . Best Buy needs to figure out their strategies better . Nothing against Product it was as it was described

Not a huge fan of the user interface in the menu but once you get used to it it is fine. I also like the simple remote. I previously used a Yamaha receiver and that remote had way too many buttons and was over sized. It would have been nice to have a couple more HDMI inputs as this unit only has 4. However, the blue tooth connectivity is great! If you are looking for a solid entry level receiver that has plenty of power, dolby atmos and great sound you should give this one a listen.
