    Worst experience with Best Buy ever. 1st receiver crapped out in 2 days after I personally had to drive all over Austin to pick it up. 2nd receiver - music keeps cutting out - not sure if it's the receiver or tech set-up issue. There have been many.

      We do apologize for the inconvenience. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. There might be a problem with the wirings or the actual speakers that you're using. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage.
      Any speakers that feature bare wire connection will work to this receiver, as long as their impedances are from 6 to 16 ohms.

    Stop working

    I had this product for 6 months and then it stopped working. I tried switching out the other devices connected to the reciever first and they still worked when connected directly to the TV and others

    Bluetooth takes over!

    If listening to any input other than bluetooth and a pre-paired bluetooth device powers on or is in range, the receive automatically engages the bluetooth input. I don't want this! Very frustrating.

      Hi Mike, we are sorry to hear that the Bluetooth function takes over once a BTBluetooth device is powered on or within range. Please ensure that "BT Power" is set to OFF so when a pre-paired Bluetooth device won't connect automatically when powered on.

      Press AMP MENU.
      Select “” - “BT POWER” on the display panel.
      Select “BT ON” or “BT OFF”.

    Bad connection

    Bought this to replace one that was taken out during a power surge. The surround sound guy was having so many problems with the connections as they were not locking in. Took it back and paid a little more for the brand I had before and he put it in with no problem.

    Got my Home Theater back again!!

    Got this receiver to replace an old Onkyo brand I had years ago. I once had a 5.1 surround sound system setup in a room as my theater, but had to close it down from my parents move in. Now I’m bringing it out again, and I’m setting it up for a 7.1 system…. and to the current trend, “Dolby Atmos”. Got this Sony Strdh-790 on a spring sale price and it was perfect for my sound upgrade. Dustd off my old Polk audio speakers, and I’m now enjoying movie at home again. Shopping for enabling speakers now

    Return policy is bogus

    I hope that this product works because I did not buy the warranty or ensured it work within 15 days. The 15 day return policy is horrible. It should be at least 30 days.

    Low power… I have vintage bowls, 901s and Pioneer CS 80 eights… which both require more power for the long cable runs and the speaker some cells

    this is overall a poor unit and sound was terrible. I replaced it with a Denon for $50 less and it sounds like Im in a theater. Denon is in the sound business, I shoudlve looked at that one first
