It melted me so good

The input switcher on the back that lets you plug in all of your stuff so there’s no switching between remotes and inputs etc and all the settings you can use make this quote robust. The auto calibration microphone is so cool and really works so friggin well I’m so impressed. It took a lot of reading up and setting up to understand what I was doing but once I did it melted my brain cells in the most beautiful firework display you’d ever see

Excellent A/V receiver

The distinguishing feature of this unit is its ability to pass through 4K video, and in my experience it pulls this off without a hitch. No dropouts, no glitches. The audio is excellent, with clear channel separation and plenty of power to run my Mirage speaker setup. The sound is well balanced across all frequencies, and delivers clear output. There are enough connectors for your equipment, and the Bluetooth is easy to use and reliable, with a wide connection range. Sony delivers a solid 4K 7.2 receiver at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great AV Receiver.

Both the remote and front panel are easy to use. The integration with my Samsung TV and other outputs worked without any additional setup. The Samsung remote turns the volume up and the power button is sensedb by this receiver. How cool is that. The only critique is that the written instructions are a bit rough.

It's not perfect, but still pretty good

The auto calibration works well and measures speaker distances pretty well. The main concern of this avr is that it is confusing to learn what everything does. There're aren't descriptions on all the settings and you can't access every setting through the on screen display. Some setting have to be accessed through the amp menu on the receivers screen itself. It sometimes has issues with passing through my PC and sometimes it has to be restarted to get HDR working, but most of the time it just works perfectly fine. For the money this thing is pretty good.

I have it hooked up to a set up Kef Kht 5001 speakers and am very happy with the sound. With 4K HDR pass through and 4hdmi in you can have this be the hub of your home theatre connected to your 4K tv and not lose the picture quality. The Bluetooth connection with your iPhone or iPad is seamless and you can also turn the receiver on from the app. I’d like to see banana plug connections for all speakers and air play but those would be the two negatives for me. For people that have space constraints and don’t have the biggest budget to work with I think it’s a good value.
