    Won't sync properly

    The stereo receiver worked great for about 5 months then it stopped syncing sound to my Sony TV. Sony had me send it to a company called United radio out of New York. After 3 weeks I get the receiver back and it still doesn't work. United radio replaced the HDMI board and still nothing. Seems like I got a lemon . Would like a refund because this stereo is junk . Highly dissatisfied

    Worked great for 2 years of casual use and then suddenly and randomly stopped producing any output.

    Annoying Power Up Home Menu Cannot Be Disabled

    Every time you power the receiver on an annoying home menu appears and you have to hit the home button every time you turn on your TV or it stays on the screen. It cannot be disabled. Not sure how this made sense to the folks at Sony. I will be returning this to Best Buy tomorrow. Very annoying.

    After a few years the Home button, bluetooth and Airplay stopped working. Spend a little extra and go with Denon

      It is unfortunate to hear that you are having trouble with your STR-DH790 7.2ch Home Theater AV Receiver after a few years of use. This is definite not the experience we wanted you to have on our premium receiver.

      We'd love to help you isolate and fix the problem by performing some troubleshooting.

      For the home button, please try following the steps provided on this link:

      For the Airplay, unfortunately, this feature is not supported of our STRDH790. It is possible that you are using this function with an external device. And for the Bluetooth, you may refer to the following link to fix the problem:

      If the issue persists, please follow the steps on this link to revert the settings of your STR-DH790 to the factory default and see if it resolves the problem:

    Had promise

    I just bought this 4 days ago and it Has a worried sound at low volume with my bass. Also my back 2 speakers and my center speaker will not work and the front 2 works. Will be taken back to get a new one.
