It delivers excellent sound quality. It can accommodate nearly any surround sound configurations. It was easy to set up and calibrate. I like that I do not have to switch between devices as combining it with my Q90 R one box allows you to hear whatever is on the TV.

Great Sony receiver

Plenty of power, easy to setup and install. The menus that are available after initial setup are a little weak, not much to do there. But it works seemlessly with my Roku and Sony OLED TV.

We replaced an Onkyo that we bought not too long ago and was giving us nothing but problems. Not only did our problems go away, but the sound quality improved immensely. The Dolby Atmos is amazing. Great Sound

The set up was easy. I did manually add more sub. It's smaller the the old unit which I like. The sound quality is superb in my opinion. Movies sound great and the separation is much better than the Onkyo or the Pioneer I had previously. Very happy with this Receiver!

Surround is so much better than my previous 1999 Sony! Only issue is the wire connectivity on the rear does not allow push in plugs..only bare wire. Total Tech did a great job setting it up.

Best AV Receiver

I can’t imagine how this’ll perform once I set up a 7.2. I highly recommend this Sony AV receiver. Those other expensive AV receivers are complete ripoffs! This has all the features an entertainment enthusiast could ask for.

Having gone from the entry (590?) receiver without Altmos to this one wasn’t the big difference I thought it was going to be but, when it does it does add a bit more expansive sound to the room.

Love the hdmi arc and how it works. For the black Friday deal I got it on its a great deal. Replaced my 16 year old Sony strd 915 receiver which I moved into my computer room. Added some Dolby atmos speakers. Only issue is I sometimes like to listen to music and watch tv sometimes. When you pair your iPhone you can’t watch tv.
