HDMI 2.0 worked well passed 4k/60/HDR it has atmos, dolby surrond upscaling and on and on. Things I would knock about this are the auto calibration not sure why but it was miles off, not an issue for me because I know my speakers crossover and can tune DB myself. Also the menu options for testing speakers are lacking but for the price and features I highly recommend.

I am only using 5.1 for now, but the sound is super clean even when I crank up the volume. Nothing was wrong with the Yamaha I just wanted to upgrade to a receiver that would support 4K. For the price and sound quality you could do a lot worse. Recommend! FYI the remote control could use more functions.

Sony 7.2 Home Theatre Receiver

I picked the Sony after some research and the features. While the family room that is the main viewing area is only 400 sq. Ft with 10ft ceilings this unit easily fills the space with sound. Adequate inputs and a breeze to set up speaker balance, room size etc. I believe our sound is better than before, Size is compact. Matches virtually any decor. For an inexpensive receiver you will not be disappointed. Sony has a winner with this unit

Good value, but had to return mine.

Worked fine for my surround / audio as a receiver otherwise. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Barebones audio receiver. Good value for the price but had to return mine because of video issue above.

It works good with my Xbox series x and ps5. You do have to take time to program it all just right but it even does pc good with a Samsung q70r 2019 Nvidia graphics card 2070 super. Prior Yamaha magnolia receiver both purchase from Best Buy. I did have a problem with this same model however Best Buy made it right. If you have any problems with it speak to Best Buy. The geek squad has you covered.
