If you need 4K HDR make sure you set each HDMI input to ENHANCED mode in the ARC Menu. Initially my PS4 didn't want to use full 4K HDR until I enabled that setting. Make sure you read the manual for more sweet features.

This sony was just as easy to hook up , it has a much better sound then the onkyo.. you can hear the differance in my system.. I still have more playing to do with this.. But it is a nice piece..

Best Bang for the Buck

The sound quality is excellent placed in my family room. My home is o er 100yrs old so its not the most acousticly created room yet we get fantastic sound.

Solid basic home theater amplifier.

It's not super expensive and does the job with strong sound including bass when hooked to a multi-speaker system. Some of the setup is a little tricky. We also wished it had built in Bluetooth tramsmission to use with headphones.

It's a good unit for the price but still has inherent issues that many home theater amps do. Unit will mute itself after power up. Don't know why. Has an issue with the HDCP 'handshake" between cable box and monitor that many units have. Otherwise a good unit for the price. Very good picture and sound.

Good Receiver....But

My only turn off about it is that when cutting it on, it makes a loud popping noise from my connected speakers. Tried to reset everything and re-try it but still there. It’s a little annoying and I’m concerned about what this may be doing to my speakers long term.

Bluetooth hooks easily to other devices and automatic set up and calibration of speakers is as easy as 123. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get into an Atmos system on a budget.

I ‘ve had this one for two months and I trust it will last because Sony makes great stuff. connected to my Sony 65”” tv and drives a full array of six speakers. great bang for your buck!

The sound is great and the HDMI connections are just what my old receiver didn't have that I needed for the components I needed to hookup. The only thing I would suggest is to add more banana plug capability but that's not a deal breaker for me. Great receiver!
