I was looking for 7.2 and with COVID in store shopping was limited. I decided to try this and see how I like it. It's not bad. Sound quality is not as good as denon but still very good. The lack of banana plugs on all the speaker inlets is kinda cheap in my opinion. Only having 4 hdmi inputs is actually fine for me, but it may not be for some. This receiver fit the bill for me. Play 7.2 in a media room with directv, playstation, and blu-ray player. That's it. And so far it's done that just fine.

Great but hdmi arc not perfect.

Looked up some forums and no solution. I have to rely on digital optical. Other that that it works great and push out decent power.

It’s just not as good as the old dream. Doesn’t have the same sound sound quality, regardless on how much you adjust the settings. When you watch a great action movie…the sound is top notch! But when you’re watching plain old dialogue shows…like say YouTube, or sports…it’s very hard to find the right sound mode to match & get that dialogue clear. With the older dream system you left it on cinema b, or c….boom…great for everything with premium sound. Would’ve thought a newer system would be superior since it’s new tech

Great, Affordable Home Theater Receiver

The first was purchased more than 5+ years ago. I've been so happy with the first one, that I knew I definitely wanted to get a Sony again for my second one. I have this Sony Receiver paired with my Sony 75" 4K Android TV, and it all just works wonderfully together. I also have a Nvidia Shield connected to this receiver, as well as a Sony Blu Ray Player. The receiver handles switching between the different sources with ease, and selects the proper audio formats, so as to provide the best sound experience possible.
