Bang for your Buck

Good bang for your buck if you are looking for some bang without breaking the bank. Fyi, if you have Apple 4K in order to get the Dolby vision. You'll have to connect the Apple 4K TV straight to the TV. If you connect it to the receiver you will not get Dolby vision which Netflix has on a lot of their movies and shows. This is why i took a star off

Working Well so far

Volume knob is a bit tough, but most will use the remote anyways. I grabbed it on sale, and it's replaced my existing (but fried) STRDH770.

Now if you're on a budget and want something slightly better than HTIB go with Sony AVR. If you want something immensely better than Sony go with Denon IC series of AVRs.

Subwoofer MUST be powered.

Discovered my passive subwoofer would not work with the new receiver. Slightly irked with sony that this was not clear in the instructions or online. Would have been so easy for sony to include a note that you need an active subwoofer. Otherwise this would be a five star
