    Sound output is very good. Receiver’s internal system controls the output with no ability to customize the sound. Several output connections to accommodate a variety devices.

  • PROTECT MODE, shuts off.

    Worked fine for months, 11 to be exact, then it starts showing the dreaded PROTECT after being turned on. Hoping to be able to return it/exchange it. With so many with the same issue, why not just recall this unit? Not the typical Sony standard.

    I had a sony receiver before and couldn't get the 4k passthrough to work. With a lot of work I got this one to work. The only downside to this is setting it up, not very simple.

    Sony is, has, and will always be one of the top of the line companies. Sadly this didn't pair with the VIZIO TV, but that was due to VIZIO and not SONY!
