I believe in my mind - you make a product you can turn up to ten - well you should able to - welll this one you can’t , it over heats and shuts down .

When matching speakers and AV receiver, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. Also, make sure that the AV receiver have proper ventilation to prevent overheating.

Disappointed in soun quality for system. Older one has just as good of sound. I’m thinking about taking it back and getting the 1100 watt receiver. I’m trying to stay with all Sony equipment because I have had good experiences with it.
