Waited to buy a 4K blu-ray player, Glad I did ! The Sony Quality is top notch ! Machine is heavy, no cheap plastic unit.

Watching 4K movies is amazing !!! The Best Buy guy said that Sony was he best player out of the three ( Sony, Samsung and Lg) and I would have to agree with him.

Got this because it had More to offer than others at the same price mainly hi res audio but it's built really heavy and actually metal not plastic 4k is amazing

This player is excellent. Good value. Plays 4k discs and has great picture and sound. Easy to install and use. Got a great price on black friday for like $149.

I really like this Sony 4K Blu Ray player and it works really well with my Brava TV. It was easy to install and the 4K settings easily transferred to the TV.

this player works great and integrates well with my other components with easy setup, the apps that are available work well. the only negative is that the number of apps is pretty limited, although the major ones are there.

I had a Yamaha before I purchased this player, and we love it works perfect, great Bluetooth/WI FI connectivity, easy set up. Fantastic 4k picture. very happy with this Sony player. Have already recommended this to friends.

This is one of the best out there. The 4k works great, and it upscale good on regular Blu-Ray disks to. I have it hooked up to my Yamaha receiver that is a 4k pass thru and the sound is great. I got it on sale but it is still worth the money even if it's not on sale. Plus I like the style of it, it looks great with all my other equipment. A must buy if your looking for great quality.

It was easy to set up. The color is fantastic. It does it all. It has everything I need in it. It has wifi, 3D movies, 4k movies, blu-ray, dvd.I enjoy it.

i had gotten a Samsung model before getting the Sony, the Samsung was very cheap feeling and had no weight to it, it played the disks just fine but i was really worried it wouldn't last based on the build quality so did some research and ended up getting the Sony UBP X800 and haven't looked back, it is built to last feels much more expensive than it actually is and overall is just a better player for just a view dollars more than the Samsung i had gotten.

A few months ago we bought a cheapie dvd player thinking it didn't make much difference. They all play dvds, right? Wrong. Apparently, some cheaper models aren't able to keep up with software updates particularly with the newer blue ray dvds. Our old one kept freezing on one screen before it got to the Play screen--but only with the Marvel dvds. The Best Buy person we spoke to explained why and then showed us several models that would alleviate that problem. We love our Sony. The quality speaks for itself. We watch a lot of dvds so this was money well spent.

Finally an affordable 4K Blu-ray player that has all the bells and whistles of a premium unit. Works great with excellent picture quality. Recommended.

We have had several Sony CD, then DVD, then Blu-Ray players in the house. None have ever failed! We just replaced them as things progressed. My original CD player was purchased in 1982 and I gave it away a couple of years ago. Can't beat Sony quality for tv and DVD sound bars are another story. This 4K player is running through a Nakamichi 7.2 surround sound. The picture and sound is amazing! Just wish there was a better selection of 4K movies. Easy setup. Dinging one star because no front display.

Player works great, picture is fantastic, had a little trouble updateing but was able to get it after a few tries. Audio sound is very good. Player is quite. Doesnt offer dolby vision, but not a deal breaker for me.

I am glad I waited for Sony to come out with their 4K player. They are the best at video. Not one problem. I have a couple of issues. One with their lack of apps. A little skimpy. They will probably add more apps with future updates. The other minor issue I have is that there is no display like you are use to getting, however it looks like at this price point this is the trend.

4K Blu-ray player that also plays older SACD and DVD Audio discs! That was the tipping point for my purchase. That and the price $150. Great deal

This product was purchased on Black Friday. We have used a handful of times in the two weeks since receiving. The quality is great. Easy to use.

This is no $300 premium 4k Blu-ray DVD player. It does work well at playing in 4k picture mode, but it lacks the extras that a high prices player should have. It is especially lacking in remote control features, size, and operation(cheap and tiny). Ck warranty duration too before purchasing. Sony has cutt back to only 90 days on most items!!! Only purchase when its on sale.
