Yep - it does what it's supposed to do. I have no complaints. I've used some of the online functions and those work well.

I'm getting on in years so I need simple things. Bought the Sony UBP-X800, took it home, plugged it in (in place of a Blu-ray Player). With a complete Sony system, I turned it on, inserted a disc, then sat back and watch a movie with great picture and sound. Worked great with the Sony system. So far no trouble at all. Recommended!

I have always bought Panasonic Bluray players. They were very high priced for the panasonic UHD 4k player. Figured I would give the Sony a shot since my TV is a Sony. This one is about 1/2 the price of the Panasonic. It works great. Fantastic picture. If it lasts as long as all my Panasonic players then this will be a total score.

Easy set up, with own remote. Quality product did a lot of research before deciding and purchasing this particular one.

I had a upscale 4K Sony DVD Player and did not realize that it would not play genuine 4K Disks. I did research on the UBP-X800 and it proved to be a great player, fast loading and displayed sharp, clear 4K moves plus any DVD DISK played is sharp and clear. A really good Best Buy price too. Enjoying the moves. Thank You Best Buy!

I ordered this on Black Friday. It was delivered within a couple of days. We haven't used it yet..... It's for Christmas

Paired beautifully with my 4K Sony Xbr this player performs great. HDR is amazing, load times are minimal. Great player

The player at its basic does what its suppoed to, but I wish the GUI was better. I returned mine because for all that 4K is supposed be for eye candy an upconverted 1080p source from my older Denon (not HDCP2.0) reciever or my Sony 75XBR940D looks almost as good! it was hard to tell the difference in PQ. If you plan on spending money on physical 4K discs than this player works for fraction of the price of the Panasonic and Oppo players.

I bought this Sony Blue Ray HDR DVD to use with my new Sony - 49" Class - LED - X900F Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR. Both are 2018 models and complement each other extremely well. This player is quite heavy, well built, and performs flawlessly. Would highly recommend.

The picture quality is amazing and easy to set up.

I have this unit paired with a 55" LG 3D/4K LED TV. The Sony Blu-ray player does an excellent job with my 3D, 4K, Blu-ray, and regular DVD disks. Transmissions are super clear and very sharp. I am very pleased with the player and highly recommend it (AAA+++). (Remember to set it up with a quality 4K HDMI cable to your 4K TV.)

This machine is amazing. Crisp clear viewing. Easy to maneuver. Simple to set up. We watch something nightly on it now.
