Sony's 4k player gets a 5 star review because of several factors: 1: 4k and HDR look stunning coming from this player 2: Almost instantaneous boot up time. 3. Comes with Netflix and HULU apps. Both look great. 4. Easy to Navigate menu Cons 1: Cannot open or close dvd tray via the remote when an App is open.

I purchased this in conjunction with my other Sony products at the same time I was completely replacing my TV room equipment. Because everything was Sony, it all worked perfectly together. The picture quality is awesome. I have owned it for about 1 1/2 years and no trouble whatsoever.

My first Blu-ray player. Paired with a 50” sony bravia 4k. Excellent picture. Like the one button start. Push play turns on player and tv. sets tv to correct input, and starts disc. Memory is a bit finicky. If paused too long powers down and movie has to be started over or dig thru scenes to get back where you were on some discs.

Sony streaming 4K Ultra Blu-ray player is great! Watching movies on this Blu-ray player makes they so clear sharp.

First thing I noticed upon taking this unit out of the box was the weight. You can tell immediately the quality is there! I've only had it a few months but am impressed with over all quality. Operation has been smooth and timely, not slow at all compared to other units in this price range. Most definitely recommended!!

Thought HD was just a hype. Had to buy a new player because my DVD died. Well that led to this player and a TV......WOW was I wrong about HD being hype. I love them both. The picture is sharp, clear and the color is awesome. Love the fact I can play regular DVD's and blu-ray on it and they even look better.

We recently acquired a Sony 85" smart television and wanted the perfect companion Blu-ray player. Well, this is clearly the one! The remotes work with both devices. The incredible ability for this player to automatically upgrade a standard DVD into Blu-ray quality is awesome!

The only thing that is keeping me from giving 5 stars is the fact that this player had no Display Functions on the front panel. You have no idea as to how long the movie has been on or how much is left. I'm a visual guy and I need this! I did realize this when I got it, but I am a Sony guy. The player is great otherwise. Blu-ray load times are pretty quick, interactive menu is good. Picture quality is first rate as usual.

I own three of these 4k Blu ray players. They are in my opinion the best out there. I figure Sony is the manufacturer of Blu-ray so the best picture quality is obviously going to be on their piece of equipment. I am a diehard Samsung TV aficionado but sonyhe makes the best Blu-ray 4K player.

This is a nice looking well built player but i was not able to use it bec of those hdcp limitations. I hooked it to my bose soundtouch 300 with hdcp cable and yes no picture no sound the player won’t even turn off/ on anymore. I dont blame this player, it’s my old tv bec uts not UHD and its hooked to the bose soundtouch 300 with a non hdcp cable , so everything must be new to enjoy this 4k dolby etc features.

A ver good quality product. I have not tried the 3F feature yet but the 4k quality really shows the different.

I just love how the video playbacks With the blue ray .!i played a dvd that wasn’t blu ray and it looks great .

The video quality is good but I'm disappointed in the overall quality. The remote and menu feel like technology from 10 years ago. I've also had the unit freeze up several times and cannot eject the disc without unplugging and restarting the unit.

I bought this 4K player on sale and was one of the few players available that plays 3D movies. Very satisfied.

I chose this 4K player over other cheaper ones due to the WiFi connectivity. Thus far it has not disappointed.

I really love this 4k blu ray player. Excellent video and audio. Although a little expensive but the weight just simply shows it's great quality. I highly recommend it.

I have owned it only a few weeks now but, no complaints. I, at this time, have yet to see the player in action with a 4 K television. Our old DVD player went bad so we upgraded to this model, thinking we will soon upgrade our television in the near future. To be delivered tomorrow. Can not wait to see how it performs with the new 4 K television. It is a little pricey still but, has more features than other models.

Older customer and it is so hard to keep up with technology and all the bells and whistles. But the salesman was informative and did his best to answer our questions.
