I've been waiting for Sony to release this player, and it was worth the wait. Matched the player with my Sony 4K TV and Amplifier and the results are amazing. I love this player and get many compliments on the picture quality and sound from my friends. I will never by anything other than Sony.

I bought this unit on sale and love it. It’s a great unit. I installed it in my motorhome as part of my A/V system. It’s one of the best on the market right now. Only thing better in my opinion is the new version of this one. Great unit, glad I brought it.

I waited for the 2nd generation of 4K dvd players to come out. It was worth the wait. The Sony had all the features that I wanted and more. The remote is as good as most and the ability to play all types of disk including SACD audio is super. The picture is fantastic which is what we all want!

Best Blu-ray player for the money, picture quality superb and easy to setup

When it comes to Blu-ray players I will only purchase Sony products. In the past I would purchase other Blu-ray players and were very disappointed with the quality and the price. Sony provides excellent products for a reasonable price and I am a member for life.

Purchased this 4K Blu-ray player and media streamer a little over two years ago. It was a very nice addition to my home theater. I was fortunate to pick it up on sale and save a good bit of money. Thank you Best Buy and Sony!

I got my UBP-X800 a few weeks ago and set up was a breeze. I am quite tech "un-savvy" and I was able to go through no problem. I am now able to play my 4K movies and they look amazing. I tried to play a 3D movie and apparently there is an extra step that needs to be done in the set-up for that. My previous 3D player switched to 3D automatically so I have yet to try that feature again.

You need to have the equipment that matches up, otherwise you will not experience the difference.

WiFi speed seem faster than those regular Blu-ray player, fast load and process the information...

As above. Loads much faster than my old Sony DVD player. Has WiFi that many other brands do not.

I upgraded from my regular Sony blu-ray player to this 4-K model when I bought a 4-K LG TV, and the results are spectacular, both for discs and for streaming Netflix and Amazon--and for the other standard streaming sites, such a YouTube. Great 3-D, too. So far, so good. Very, very good.

We had bought this as a gift for our eldest daughter. She needed a new player and loved this one

Sony has been a more quality oriented electronic devices in comparison to Korean models. They have always extended their design beyond electronics to strong and sturdy metal structural cases and they DO makes a difference by providing a rock steady foundation to assist the mechanical to their superb optical design. I believe. Is not black magic.

Great Blu-ray player. We have several 3D movies and are available to enjoy them with this player.

This player if a great piece. I just wish it would play .APE files like the manual says it will.

I chose Sony because I have two other older Sony Blu ray players and I have never had any issues

along with this years tv line, it appears that sony is back in the groove putting out top quality products like the old days...very versatile disc handling and audio codecs, great upscaling as usual and even good streaming capabilities...might be a little behind the oppo, but not by much

easy set-up, great picture, price was good, but better when price matched
