I upgraded to a 4K Samsung tv and decided to purchase this Sony 4K ultra DVD player while it was on sale. For the price of $158 it was not a hard decision. The quality and picture of the dvd is just awesome.

Easy to use and great pic. AWESOME REMOTE!!!! The unit itself is rather large, surprised me.

If you buy a new tv and want that same picture you see in the store then you need a true 4K blue ray and 4K movie. It’s great, streaming 4K movies only really are 1080 on good day. But this with the picture and sound and you get what you saw in the store.

I bought this primarily because I own many blu ray discs, and the upconvert capability of lower end 4K TVs is a joke. This player remedied that problem completely. The upscaling improvement on low end 4K TVs has breathed new life into my old blu ray collection.

This was an upgrade from an older Sony model we owned that was a blu Ray, 3D and could stream. With the older model we had some glitches with streaming. This model streams well. Internet searches and apps listed on home page. We haven’t tried the 3D out yet.

This Blu-ray player is great. There are several apps already installed that I use regularly.

I have Sony television and other equipment, this is a great player and I like the menu system

We recently purchased the Sony streaming 4K Ultra HD/3D Blu ray player. Not only does the image look AMAZING on our 4K television, it has more options like a built in WiFi and high resolution picture. We got an awesome sale price, but definitely would have paid full price!!

Not only are true 4K Movies dazzling but 4K upscaling is much improved with this unit. When used with my Sony HBR55X930E TV and STHT5000 Atmos Sound Bar which becomes the receiver for the TV, player and all connected devices run through it.......WOW !!! and play your music too.

Still having trouble getting the unit to accept my I-Net connection from a Verizon Jet Pack.

Is working well, I wish that the 4k product was better. The dvds are not the best quality.

I have been waiting for Sony to release their ultra 4K player since I have only had Sony DVD/Blu-Ray players in the past which I have had great experiences with. Had the Samsung K8500 but it was very disappointing. The Sony performs far better in all areas compared to the Samsung.

We bought this DVD player to pair with a new large screen Sony 4K TV. Works perfectly. Loads the DVDs much quicker than the Blu Ray player it replaced. Produces excellent picture quality, not only with ultra HD discs, but also with older DVDs. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Watched Beauty and the Beast Blu-Ray on our new Sony Tv and say things we never saw before.

I chose this one since Sony is know for being the movie mogul and their upscaler is better.

Loved that it synced perfectly with our Sony TV and my husband had no trouble hooking it up.

I bought this blue ray player when it was a deal of the day item and I am glad I did. It plays every movie we have put in it, unlike all the other players we have had in the past those would only play certain movies. It is built solid, looks good and works awesome.

Easy to connect and set up with my SONY 4K TV (from Best Buy) and to the Internet. Great for streaming. Amazing price at Best Buy. Bought two there (one a year ago for me and one this Christmas for my daughter and son-in-law). They are also very pleased with the UBP-X800.

I am happy with my choice, I have always liked Sony products, can’t wait to get it set up.
