My only complaint was that there is no optical audio out but I didn’t need it in the end since my receiver has a coax digital audio input as well that can take signal from this DVD player.

It brought out enormous detail and great contrast in one of the best Blue-ray discs on the market (Lawrence of Arabia).

Unfortunately it is not compatible with Hulu using HBO or Cinemax so I need to buy a different device. I am going to just buy a Roku or Apple TV to replace it.

It is very responsive and delivers great sound and quality. This is my 3rd Sony Blu-Ray player. Worth the price.

1st stand alone 4k blu ray player

I love to crank it up and fill my house with my favorite tunes as well as my favorite shows and movies! The wireless subwoofer is fantastic! Excellent choice!

This machine puts every Blu-ray, DVD player I've ever used to shame. The quality of every image is stunning when playing 4K and almost all Blu-ray movies. You may however want to kept an old Blu-ray upscale player around. Since this take many of the old DVD's and shows there defects as well. This unit doesn't forgive or hide artifacts and you clearly can tell the difference between a DVD and Blu-ray disc. Where in the older players it wasn't as noticeable. Could also be I am now using a 4K TV by Sony. Its very easy to install, and the interface to me was very intuitive. You can add and subtract your favorite apps easily. Found my media server in a heart beat, when every device before this seem to have some difficulty. Thumbs up, 5 star's for this unit.

Best 4K Player

All video sources just look better: (streaming, usb drive and blu-ray discs). Compared to Samsung 4K player my Blu-ray discs now have fantastic color and finer detail. Very happy with purchase.
