I bought this to take advantage of my 4K tv. It does what it’s supposed to do. Smart features are kind of useless because they are all available on the TV natively. It’s expensive but I got it on sale.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present....we have not used this yet, but my son had bought the exact same Blu-ray player unbeknownst to me, and he is extremely satisfied with the quality of the picture it displays.

Sony always does a great product and have never had any problems

This is my first ultra HD blue ray player and I find the quality to be too notch. The picture quality is excellent and a big step up from my old blue ray player. Great build quality and picture quality makes this a great buy.

I bought this 4k bluray player to go with my sony xbr930e and couldn't be more happy and it was on sale for250 and came with 3 free movies bye mail really good quality player 4k hdr movies look amazing on it and load times are fast

I was concerned about the 4k working with a 10' hdmi cable since I previously purchased a LG unit and it wouldn't put out a signal to the tv on the same 10' cable. This player worked fine with no inline amplifier.

one of the best sony bluray players..that I've had going back to the old style well made players from yesteryear...Bluetooth... internet..super easy to use ...without confusing menus like say a Panasonic..highly recommend!

Sony's all good. Tried 4k Samsung & LG both were terrible and shut down randomly?! So far Sony has been great and worked as expected plus this is the first 4k player that the remote was actually designed with humans in mind.

Reasonable price. Paid $150. Want to compare this to Blu-ray. No difference.

I have owned Sony products for most of my life and have always enjoyed their reliability and quality. My Sony products have always performed well everything from digital point and shoot cameras, camcorders to the Sony A7III. Playstations every generation and my family has always had a Sony TV back to my grandparents. Excited to use our new 75" Sony 4K flat screen we bought the Sony XBP700 4K Blu Ray Player. Picture quality and sound are great when it works.... the player constantly freezes!! Sometimes just a few minutes into a movie, sometimes half way thru, sometimes near the end. It doesn't matter what disc, it never makes it thru a full movie. So disappointing!! Searching for suggestions I found many other unhappy people experiencing the same thing with this Sony player. I tried all the suggestions, made sure the software was updated, everything to no avail. I would restart movies, fast forward to where the movie had quit and struggle thru numerous times of doing this to just finish watching the movie. My wife does not have the same patience and bought a bargain brand 4K player at one of the bulk warehouse stores and forced me to switch the Sony out. The under $80 player works perfectly, no stopping, no freezing it just plays the movies in 4K like a player should. No wifi connection, no great features but it plays a movie all the way thru without freezing!! Amazing. Sony what happened to your great reliability?
