After having owned the Xbox S and Samsung 4K player, this Sony leaves the other in the dust: thanks to build quality, speed, and reliability. The only thig that would make this player better is a firmware upgrade for Dolby Vision.

Loads fast, has a great remote, very good looking, plays 4K media, streaming, etc, and subtitles appear for Amazon prime, whereas they didn't with my Sony 2012 Blu-ray - all this, at a reasonable price for this great technology!

I have owned Sony products for most of my life and have always enjoyed their reliability and quality. My Sony products have always performed well everything from digital point and shoot cameras, camcorders to the Sony A7III. Playstations every generation and my family has always had a Sony TV back to my grandparents. Excited to use our new 75" Sony 4K flat screen we bought the Sony XBP700 4K Blu Ray Player. Picture quality and sound are great when it works.... the player constantly freezes!! Sometimes just a few minutes into a movie, sometimes half way thru, sometimes near the end. It doesn't matter what disc, it never makes it thru a full movie. So disappointing!! Searching for suggestions I found many other unhappy people experiencing the same thing with this Sony player. I tried all the suggestions, made sure the software was updated, everything to no avail. I would restart movies, fast forward to where the movie had quit and struggle thru numerous times of doing this to just finish watching the movie. My wife does not have the same patience and bought a bargain brand 4K player at one of the bulk warehouse stores and forced me to switch the Sony out. The under $80 player works perfectly, no stopping, no freezing it just plays the movies in 4K like a player should. No wifi connection, no great features but it plays a movie all the way thru without freezing!! Amazing. Sony what happened to your great reliability?

Extremely easy for setup. Somewhat counterintuitive to change settings to work with samsung soundbar for ATMOS features.....but settings changes are described in the manual. Sleek design subtly blends with any home setup.

I waited for Sony to come out with their 4K Blu Ray player before buying one. I can say so far I'm very pleased with this. The only odd thing about the player is the sound seems to skip for a half of a second at the beginning of the Movie or after pausing and then restarting. Other than that it's a great player.

I have only had this for a few weeks but it has performed excellently. Great picture quality and a solid player. Sometimes it is worth it to go to the higher end model of a device and this is one of those times.

DVD player is great does everything love it great with Sony tv

After a month of using the Blue-Ray 4K player we are pleased with it and happy about our purchase. My only concern has happened once where on boot to stalled and we had to bounce on the power button a few times to get it to restart... Have only seen it once and not worried about it.

I upgraded from an earlier Sony 3D BD player, which did an excellent job paired with my Sony 3D 4K UHD TV, As good as it was, upgrading to this produced an even more outstanding video/audio experience. I love it!

Works perfectly with my Sony 4K television. This upscales (as does the TV set) so it is fully compatible with older blu-ray releases to achieve a sharp, brilliant picture. Little pricy, but one of the better 4K machines around.

The Sony - UBP-X800 player is awesome. It compliments my Sony 65" OLED 4K TV perfectly. The picture it replicates comes through as close to real life as I've ever seen. This is a welcome addition to the home theater system.

This DVD player is so much more than just a DVD player. All the various apps like Pandora, Netflix run seamlessly and I really love this unit. I was having to run all these from my TV and now that they run from the DVD.

Great picture, easy setup. No front controls but good remote.

Bought Sony DVD and TV they have a great picture easy to use.

This was a great buy for the money. Always shop Best Buy only
