After some research we decided to go with this player. It works well with our Sony projector, HDR , 4k & etc. Very pleased and the cost was more than reasonable for the features, its recommended.

Build quality looks great. I have an older surround preamp with no HDMI input options. This unit has only hdmi, hdmi audio, and one digital coax. It needs an optical as well. I'm considering returning it as I haven't been able to watch it.

This was the easiest set up I've ever encountered. Great picture and fidelity. I like that there are no un-necessary indicators on the front of the player. Just a small green indicator light, that's it. GREAT machine.

We purchased this unit to serve as the center speaker with our 65" 4K TV. It handles most of the voice on TV programs and works well with the towers while watching movies and sports programs. The sound is very crisp.

This unit replaced a Panasonic Blu-Ray player that we had when we first got our home theater setup. The TV that anchored that system gave up the ghost, so it only made sense to stay as close as practical to current technology. This meant a 4K TV. Having made that purchase (and upgrading to a 4K capable receiver), the last piece was a UHD/4K Blu-Ray player. Reviews mentioned that this piece was "beefy," meaning substantially built, and this is true. It's also very stylish in appearance. The important thing is that it works. Blu-Ray discs are stunning, as the player seamlessly upscales the output. Regular DVDs look as good as BR discs did on our old player. Setup was easy, the remote is easy to work. Very happy with this unit.

Great Sony quality product. Set-up was easy. Appreciate the responsiveness. Wireless internet connectivity and 3D capability big pluses on top of the 4K resolution. Very satisfied. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this to get into the 4K disc game. The player itself is very well constructed, as others have mentioned. I have had none of the vibration noise that some run into. Compared to my old Blu-ray player, it is almost completely silent unless you put your ear within a foot of it. I never notice any spin up noise. The only thing negative I can say about it is, the difference between Blu-ray and 4K isn't that noticeable to me. Not like the jump from DVD to Blu-ray was for me. Having just read an article about Samsung getting out of the Blu-ray business, I hope 4K will be around for many more years, so I can enjoy this a while. I am a video purest who wants the best quality I can get for the price, so optical disc still beats out streaming for me currently, and this player does it very well. The HDR does make a difference compared to my old player, so that was a welcome feature. I am overall pleased with this purchase.

I bought this player to be an all around content player. I wanted it for it's streaming capabilities, and also for its Blu-ray playing capabilities. I have a chrome-cast for Netflix, and at this point it's been replaced. Using the search via the on screen keyboard is very easy. The UI is very easy to use and navigate. And the initial setup of the device was also very straight forward. The remote is small, and also very simple, but enough to navigate through everything without struggling. The remote also has a TV on/off functionality with TV Input selector and volume control. So once you are using the Blu-ray player to stream or watch a disc, you don't need to have the other remote in hand. And the picture quality is very clear!
