    We needed/wanted a device that would handle true 4K material. Tried another, cheaper version; didn't work. This works beautifully. It's quiet, loads reasonably fast, and provides stunning quality playback.

    I wanted the Sony 4K Player and was lucky. It had just been released when I bought the new TV. Great player, need to have more studios start releasing movies in 4K. Movies I have look incredible on new Sony 930e TV.

    So far while not a perfect unit, it has worked out great. I can't wait to see how movies will look when I get a 4k HDR TV to go with it. Interface is different then the previous Sony bluray player but it works.

    You will not find a better 4K player for $300. Avoid the Samsung one I just replaced it with this.

    This player has the best picture I've seen for both 4K and 1080P video. Also, the sound from HDMI or coax digital is superb. Even the streaming video and audio quality exceeds other players costing twice as much.

    The Sony installed easily, connected to my Wi-Fi without any problems and updated it's firmware automatically. Picture looks great. I did lock up once, ( I may have contributed to that), but after unplugging it then plugging it back into the power it has worked without any issues

    I have always been impressed with Sony’s TVs and DVD players and this is no different. Picture is perfect. If only cable could get up to speed with 4K! For now I’ll watch on my Sony 4K player or Netflix.

    Ok, this is Sony's first 4K player, and it has bugs that they are working out. That being said, I gave it 5 stars anyway, but it plays perfectly, the remote it GREAT, and the 4K picture from 4K movies is fantastic. If you have an HDR TV, then you will really see a great difference. I had the Samsung first 4K player, and it needs work as well, but the picture was excellent. But moving to the Sony with HDR playing on a Sony, Android, HDR TV made a noticeable difference. Very impressed. Now they just need to work out some kinks with apps on the "smart" side of the player, and it will be perfect all around. Like I said, the 4K is spectacular, and therefore deserves the 5 star because I know they will get everything else up to speed in time.
