If you’re looking for a blue Blu-ray player and a 4K player this one is for you easy to use unbelievable sound quality and picture quality great price as well.

Although the previous player upconverted to near 4K quality, it did not actually play a 4K DVD. Of course this player does play the 4K DVD's and the quality is well worth the price.

I do not use the smart functions as they are the same as my TV, but they are extremely capable. The picture quality and sound quality out of the 4K blu rays are superb.

Have this paired with a Sony 4K 70" TV. Pictures are very detailed, even non-4K videos look better when played on this device.

I wasn't too sure about another bluray player, but, this has UHD technology and I like watching older DVD's on this machine. Many of the movies have a cleaner, clearer look.

This is the first 4K DVD I have ever owned, but well worth the money very versatile. The picture is excellent want to watch all the time. Good features and with wifi outstanding.

worth the money in every way.... I've watched OPPOs etc and the sound scad picture are right there, easy interface but most important the audio is classic Sony ES (the best)

Works well with a Sony TV, Blueray and regular DVD come across with excellent color and definition. The USB port works as advertised for images and video.

Bought this for the living room but ended up using in the bedroom. Had problems with the second hdmi port hooking up to my receiver. The audio kept cutting out. Didn't have the problem directly to the tv. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I have to admit Sony makes pretty good blu-ray players... The picture looks awesome and very easy to set up with other devices. I could watch my movies from Vudu now..

Hands down best player I've owned ever. Pros: Pristine 4K Picture Quality Makes 1080p Blu-Ray movies "almost" look 4K Accidentally watched the blu-ray version of Risen instead of the 4K and didn't even know it until I put it back in the case and noticed the other disc was behind the paper insert. TWO HDMI Outputs Extremely fast boot/loading times. Near silent operation Heavy! Cons: Getting HDMI audio to output bitstream instead of PCM was not easy or straight forward. If you have an older awesome receiver and it won't pass 4K this will extend the life of your amp. HDMI out 1 direct to 4K TV / HDMI out 2 to your receiver.

If you get a new Sony 4K TV, you might a well get a 4K Ultra HD 3D Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi Built-in Blu-ray Player to go along with it.

Have had several issues with this player. It needed an update and would not update via the web. Had to download the update on my computer and put it on a usb memory stick, then plug that into the player to update. Pita. It has updated from the web since. Sometimes it will not stream and freeze up and I will have to unplug it, plug it back in, then have to reinstall the internet connection. Another pita. All of a sudden it would no longer play YouTube. Had to do a complete reset to get it to work. Lots of glitches. I keep hoping that someday an update will fix them. I did give it three stars due to the superb picture quality and awesome sound.

Handles 4K, Blu-rays, DVDs and even home recorded DVDs without a hitch. Loads very quickly and controls and menus are intuitive. Nice low profile and uncluttered display.

I was contemplating going with a more expensive player but with the help of the Best Buy team I found this one which is easily set up and easy to use and works amazing.

As always this Sony product works great. The price was also reasonable.

All I can say is it's an excellent player. Does everything it's expected to do. Sony has always produced excellent product.

Solid build quality, very discreet design. No flashing lights or lcd display. Plays 4K content perfectly. Can be controlled with other Sony remotes or a Logitech remote.

I'm so impressed with this 4K blu ray player. The picture is incredibly clear and even makes DVD's look better. The sound is immersive and sounds great. I have no complaints.
