Works great with the Sony TV, larger than I expected.

The Sony UBP-X800 is a bargain among universal disc players. Some disc incompatibility issues, but regular firmware revisions have addressed this in addition to added streaming services. No UHD disc player is perfect. I own the Oppo 203 as well and it has had its share of growing pains. Generally though the Sony is light years ahead of the early blu-ray players and at $299.00 is a steal. Exemplary audio performance, as well. Many users with HDR problems can be traced back to cables that are not premium spec'd at 18gbps so ensure you are using certified 4K cables.

Works well and does a good job of up-scaling standard DVDs to 4k. Buy this one over the new Samsung as it has a way better remote than my new Samsung.

This is a perfect Blu ray player for our needs and works just like I needed it too. Love the ease of use and the quality so far.

This is a fine solid machine which plays every conceivable CD or DVD format. But be sure to take an extended Best Buy warranty. I replaced mine twice since it has a tendency to freeze when playing DVDs. The third machine still freezes after playing a 5-6 hours over a couple of days. I solve that problem by completely unplugging and powering up. It seems as if a cache is being filled up which needs to be cleared periodically. Thus I got a front power off switch for the blu-Ray player. The WiFi receiver is weak and requires a WiFi extender especially if you are streaming in the basement. Have not tried 4K but blu-Ray is gorgeous.

Glad to see it is even more user friendly than the previous model. The additional capacity has enabled us to watch a lot of movies with Amazon Prime.

Not my first blu ray player but it is my first 4k player. I got to say it's awesome. Plus I have a Sony to tv to go with it so the remote works on both. This player is super quiet andhad a great design. That platform feels like the ps4 which is another plus. Oh hurry up and get it soon and don't buy anywhere else as BB price match and Sony is giving 2 free movies when you buy this one. I bought took it home hooked it up watched movies next day went on Sony website used my code and ordered the 4k movies and had the at my house in less than 1 week. Awesome!!!!

I gave it 4 stars but to be honest this is the first 4K DVD player I have owned. The picture quality on 4K and Blue Ray disc's is great. If you are wanting to play 4K DVD's You won't be disappointed in this one.

Best bang for your buck. Quality player with all the bells and whistles. Picture is awesome of course. No complaints in this household.

This is a great quality 4K Blu-ray player, It’s got a crisp, detailed, and colourful image, sounds great, and is simple to use.

Am very satisfied with the blue ray player. The movies are vivid plus can play cd audio disks. Recommend buying.
