One the best BluRay players from Sony and one of the best around overall. Finally UHD 4K BluRay players have fallen below $250 and the media is finally available. Connect to your Internet and watch 4K content from NetFlix, Amazon Prime or YouTube 4K videos. Separately, purchased Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 in UHD 4K BluRay and it played and looked fantastic on our Sony 4K UHDTV. Highly recommended!

Plays DVDs that wouldn't play on my previous player. Crisp clean picture. Got in on sale which made it an even better deal!

The Sony 4k bleary player plus 3d gives a great picture probly would buy this unit agin because it does everything i need.

I like this product. The quality and features are amazing. I can play all kind of Blu Rays, Ultra Blue Rays and all the dvds.

I had a heck of a time getting HDR to work. Be sure: 1) Your firmware is up to date for the Sony X800, your A/V receiver, and your HDTV. 2) Your need to do a power reset to unplug, wait a few minutes, the re-plug each device above in turn. 3) Each of the above devices must support HDCP 2.2 and UHD. 4) Check your receiver and your HDTV for any advanced HDMI settings for the ports you are using for UHD. 5) Make sure your HDMI cables support 18 Gps transfer rate and deep color. If not sure just get new cables. Not that expensive. Monoprice has a great selection of cables with lifetime warranties. Once you get all that in place the HDR is just beautiful.

No difficult set-up to go through. Just connected to my receiver, turned it on and enjoyed. However, two weeks later the Samsung went on sale. $70 cheaper, store "Couldn't do anything".

I really think this might way over priced. I bought it, expecting to be wowed, from all the great reviews. But in the end I was just kinda eh. After doing the math I realized I didn't need the 3D because my PlayStation and Xbox already had that feature, the size of it is huge and the entire front plate opens up to reveal a tiny disc tray. Ended it exchanging it for it's little brother, the 700 and was waaaaaaay happier. I got it on sale for $100 cheaper and it honestly does the same thing without 3D.

Looks amazing with 4k content and supporting cables. Using with a sony sound bar and tv. All three work great together.
