This is not an Upscale-ed player, but a true 4K HD output unit. While it is rather boxy and bland looking, it delivers a fast startup that not only plays 4K HD, but 3D Blu-rays and DVD's as well. I have this paired with a Sony's XBR-65930D. Of course the picture looks wonderful and I have been purchasing more 4K & 3D Blu-rays to my library to enjoy.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DVD and regular blu-rays play with no issues. 4K, specially HDR movies, will freeze and skip sections every 5-15 minutes. Happens with multiple discs and on multiple TVs, even after a firmware update. Did a quick search and it seems this model is known for having similar problems. Now I understand why it’s so heavily discounted. Will be returning in the next day or two, once I have a chance.
