This player has all the bells and whistles that anyone would want. Things I hope will come with firmware: Dolby Vision- Currently it only supports HDR-10 Sony 4k Streaming App- Has the usual bloatware of apps no one will ever use but this one would prove useful for digital copies from Sony

Researched different units and the Sony offered the most value at this price point. Playback works flawlessly and the UI is easy to navigate and use. It automatically saves where you left off if watching a series on Bluray so you can pick right back up a day or so later. Very happy with my purchase.

I don't have a 4k projector yet but was pleasantly surprised when i saw an improvement in the video of my 1080p bluray discs. This player must be doing some type of upconverting because my bluray movies have never looked so good with my previous Panasonic and Samsung players. Would highly recommend this player even if you are still watching 1080p.

I understand they will update via firmware to support dolby vision. With support for all hdr formats, dolby atmos, you just cant go wrong. Im sure the OPPO players are better but for what I paid for this the price difference does not justify performance difference. Sony makes great quality products and this one is no different.
