The machine constantly locks up while streaming requiring the plug to be pulled to restart the system since the remote and front 2 (that's right- power and eject only) buttons are not functional. Bought a Roku for streaming.

I’ve been pleased with its performance and the extra HDMI output allows me to pipe the audio track to my older audio receiver that is not 4K compliant and the video on a separate cable directly to my TV

I still have a collection of these format disc and this player makes it easy to enjoy my collection. If you still have these disc, this player is for you.

I use it far more for streaming content than for playing DVDs or BluRays. This systems supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi connections so connecting to Netflix, etc. is much faster now using the 5GHz band than in the past.

I use the machine primarily for SACD and DVD Audio playback and streaming, but it does a great job with DVD and Blu-Ray as well.

Fortunately it has Netflix but lack YouTube. Doesn't have much else. I hope they will add some soon, otherwise why bother? It has a little weight to it as well.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony has both excellent sound and picture quality, a few caveats though, no backlit remote, no front panel screen , you have to rely on the display, converts some music formats to PCM. Still considering the price to better this player (much higher) it's a smart buy.
