Power Cables connected permanently on the back and the x1000 isn’t plus the x1000 has the screen and vibration free vibration legs and some other functions that the x800 doesn’t . Just got the x1000 and am happy with my purchase

I tried two X800s and returned both. Although the X800 worked well playing Blu Ray and 4K ultra HD discs the audio cut in and out multiple times every minutes when playing DVDs. Called Sony, performed many procedures to diagnose the problem and they determined the unit was defective. I returned it and Best Buy replaced it without any problem (great service). The second unit worked better with DVDs but the audio still cut in and out every few minutes. I returned it to Best Buy and again they were wonderful. I exchanged it for a Samsung 4K Ultra HD player and it is fabulous. Not only was it a few dollars less expensive, it plays all disc formats flawlessly. I doubt that I’ll try Sony again.

This is a really good blue-ray. I was needing one dvd that could reproduce old DVDs and Blue-rays and I have to say that I'm pleased to have found a really good one. It has a great format and good definition.

This is by far the best UHD player after reviewing all others except the $700 Oppo. For the money you wont beat it and best of all it works exceptionally well with my Sony TVs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have had zero issues with this player

I do not know if we will ever go to the movies again! We watched a couple of 4K movies over the holidays with the new Sony player and it was amazing!! Hooked it up to our 65" 4K TV with 7.1 surround sound and it was off the hook.

After researching players, I settled on this one. It directly tied into my Sony system with very little effort. It will do every thing that I want it to do, so much that I haven't tried it all yet. Everything has worked great so far.

This is a "typical" Outstanding Sony Blu-ray player! The unit integrates with our Sony television and provides great performance. In addition, the unit plays recorded Blu-rays from a Terabyte USB hard drive with out buffering!

Upgraded to this player when I realized my "4K Upscaling" old Sony couldn't actually play 4K movies. Once I got over how mad I was at Sony, I got this player. Huge improvement in both movie playback and sound quality of my CDs.

I love this, however I think now a days game console use this feature as well. You might want to double check. It just takes watching and hearing to another level. Home theater

I upgrade my entire system SONY TV, Blue Ray and Sound Bar. Using all SONY helped tremendously with set up and remote simplification. I love my purchase. I do not stream much through my Blue Ray as I can do it all with my TV.

I had to get a new DVD player in order to connect to my home network, since my prior one was unable to use the network protocol on my newer router. This player is of high quality, and works great with my network.

I replaced an older model that bit the dust, this model operates faster to remote commands, higher definition upscale on a 75" TV is joy to watch. I would recommend this blu-ray played to anyone, it is pricy but well worth the money

Though this unit has been out for a while now, it still is a great unit. Sony just knows how to make great players. The device is solid and looks great, and the up-scaling is spot on. The UHD 4K discs look awesome as well.

It could use some improvements as far as the main menu goes, but other than that this is an excellent player. Fast boot up, loads and reads discs very fast and isn’t laggy at all. I’m happy with it!

If you have 4k tv and do not have 4k Blu-ray player, you are not getting the true value of your TV! Upscaled Blu-ray looks good, but a 4k disk on a 4k player is tremendous. This player is excellent in every way!

After using it for 2 weeks I had several problems wit it crashing and having to reboot by plugging it back in . I checked online and it was common a problem with this machine . Make sure you read the return policy for Best Buy

excellent product. Best buy had a great deal and they installed it also at my house. Have geek squad install it for you as they know what they are doing. it was part of my home theater system

Searched for new blu ray player on best buy website and decided on this particular unit. On sale and the right requirements I wanted and connected with ONE hdmi cable. Did away with all other older cables. Nice!

I bought this primarily for the DVD-audio/SACD support and the ability to stream my hi-res music over the network or via USB. CD playback sounds great as well. UHD disc look great, but the player doesn't support Dolby Vision or HDR10+. If you want Dolby Vision or HDR10+ look elsewhere.
