This is a great player! However, setup is challenging. The player could use more detailed set up instructions for each of the set up windows. The last window with app indicators is especially bad. There is no indicator that lets you know you are finished!

This Sony Blu-ray player was recommended by Best Buy staff since I was getting a 65" Sony TV. Works well with the tv and have found the remotes to mesh nicely. So far I'm happy with the purchase.

Solid and cost-effective BD player. Starts up really quickly and also have “smart TV” access such as to Netflix, etc. if you need or want that.

tried to run update on product and kept getting message that it wasn't connecting to internet when product clearly showed connection status as connected. went online and saw many reviews with same complaint and no support from sony to fix this issue. I returned this product and was disappointed at having to return it.

I primarily use it to play audio CD, and on that count it works just great. I wish it had a digital display to at least show track number, rather than running that to the TV, but it's a minor gripe. Apparently this thing will play all sorts of disc formats.

I was wondering how I was going to do 4K since my 7.1 receiver did not have 4K pass though. This player comes with 2 HDMI outputs. One is for your TV and the other can go to an outdated receiver.

I got this to match my Sony receiver I just upgraded as well. Works great, I had some problems with the apps, but it has nothing to do with this player. i think the apps will prolly update in some time.

It seems like every player out there has a fail. No Dolby Vision support, horrible interfaces, lack of of apps (like Vudu), leaving my TV brand off of the TV remote settings. All of the reviews for every 4K player under $500 were negative in some way. I tried three brands and although I swore I would never buy another Sony product, I ended up with this one. It is solid and feels good, quiet, seems to function well but there are bugs like full screen playback and freezes on 4K. The biggest complaint at the moment is the lack of apps, the poor menu and inability to customize the menu. I would not recommend this player mainly because it is no better that any of the others - just different shortcomings.

Easy to use. Some duplicate services that my TV all ready supplies (streaming services). But overall 100% satisfied w/ this purchase. This also my 1st Blu-ray player Ihave owned.

I love this DVD player. I bought this open box at Best Buy and as usual I am always satisfied with their products. It was a bargain and performs well as a smart DVD player with SONY quality.

I had a friend who was advising me with the installation, with bad information. Called the store to get help and was put on hold for more than a hour. I hung up and drove to the store and the clerk was very helpful. Was a very simple fix.

Had it up in running in 5 min. Nice that it has hdmi in and out. This model also has Bluetooth so you can use a extra subwoofer in a different location in the home without wiring.

The graphics and sound reproduction on this 4K HDR blu ray player are amazing and definitely worth the price paid for the item. It also enhances regular blu ray dvd's as well.

Awesome video quality and performance. I would've given this 5 Stars if the cost wasn't so high. 4K HDR Discs will always look better than streaming 4K HDR content over the Internet onto your TV due to compressions that take place during the stream.

We recently had to bring a spare 3D Bluray player (Samsung) out of the box new to replace the original Sharp that wasn't updating. I bought this as a spare for when the Samsung gives up knowing Sony will have updates because they support the platform.

The color and clarity when playing a movie through the DVD player is outstanding. I feel that DVD technology is going to go extinct in the near future as will CD technology.

I was looking at a few players and I am very glad that I got this one. Goes great with my Sony tv and the quality is awesome. Good interface and wireless WiFi connection. Worth every penny.

Best on the market and the only one to buy if you have a Sony TV. The DVD and the TV work together and easily transition from TV to DVD and back without having to resort to being a remote.
