A simple black brick, almost intimidating. A simple display on the front would be nice. Otherwise no real surprises. Does what it says it will do.

It is worthless at streaming, drops the signal and you have to constantly power cycle the unit to get to work for a short period of time. It is an ongoing issue with many consumer experiencing the same problem. Sony CS is of no help. Went through many different settings and nothing has worked so far. I would not recommended this Sony for purchase at any price.

I let the young associate talk me into this as it was $150 off the regular price. Installed it at home so we coild have the Wi-Fi features and amazingly it worked after some tinkering. It wasn't super difficult to connect to my Orbi and we were off and running. The only reason I have this Sony Blu-Ray a three star rating is it is very slow to start up and it jas no code that will work woth my older Logitech all in one remote. I have tried hundreds of codes and now, even though my Logitech works like new, if I want to add this dvd player, I will have to buy a new remote.

However, I have noticed that films start up immediately, i.e., no lag time. In addition, since we have not had any 4K discs it is hard to say about the 4K quality. Overall it looks good.
