Another great product from Sony. This is one of the best Blu-ray players I’ve owned.

I'm very impressed with this player. It is very responsive, starts up very fast, and plays all the latest 4K disks.

The sony 800 dvd player is awesome with my 4k television. The clarity is magnificent I didn't go wrong

If Sony upgrades firmware to support Dolby Vision I will gived it 5 stars. Other than that load time is fast and the quality of movies almost matches more expensive players.

Nice if it's working - that may not be too often. Bought this unit in 2018. It constantly froze up - in order to get it to function I would have to unplug it and plug it back in. When it came back on, I would have to reset ALL the settings, internet, apps, Netflix, Pandora, etc. It would work for a week and then do it again. Sony replaced the unit while it was under warranty - YEA, I thought my prayers were answered. RECENTLY, the replacement unit started doing the EXACT SAME THING- BUT there is a VERY SHORT warranty on the replacement unit. Talked to customer support today. I am just out of luck. (I'm a snowbird, so I only use the unit 6 mos out of the year). They are sorry, but it is out of warranty. It doesn't matter that the issue is IDENTICAL (so there is obviously a problem with this model!!!!. So, if you want a unit that is reliable and a company that stands behind their product, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!! I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Performs great as a blu-ray player. I bought it primarily as a 4k blu-ray player and like the small package.

Excellent reviews from several location's. Loads quickly with better than average up-scaling for older DVD's.

Had this for almost a year now and am still extremely pleased with its performance.

After buying two of the okder version, finally this one is working so far. Sad that there is not an analog output but that is why is cheaper than the older version UHP-H1

Haven't been able to get HDMI Enhanced Format to work between the X800 and Sony XBR75x850D seamlessly even after replacing cable that supports 27Gbps. HDMI Enhanced Format is a TV setting. Currently it's working fine in HDMI Standard Format. While in Enhanced Format there doesn't seem to be a handshake which causes no signal error to appear on the TV. Don't plan on sending it back in hopes that it's simply user error or there is a software update if it isn't. Don't plan on recommending the X800 at this time.

The Sony Ultra HD 4k player was an unbelievable addition to my new Sony 65" 4K tv and included three 4k movies

Bought one for myself and my daughter. We love the use for all DVD use and Bluetooth. Daughter loves it to.

We've enjoyed using this over the holidays, still learning about all the things it can do. Wife uses every day and enjoys the straight-forward controls
