Lock Up Issues

Searched internet and found plenty of people reporting the same issue. This model has been out over a year now and still having these issues? Will be returning tomorrow. Pity - this is a very well constructed product - solid. But if it fails at its core competency, build quality doesn't matter. Going back to my Samsung K8500 that never once locked up in the 2+ years that I've had it.

Very poor reliability for such a pricey device.

Bought one of the most expensive players in the market for the media room thinking that the Sony brand comes with great performance and reliability. Extremely disappointed. Extremely frustrating to have to cycle power back on and off multiple times while watching a movie.

All of the apps worked well, but there was one key flaw. It wouldn’t play DVDs or any other disk. Sony is replacing the unit, but it will take weeks, and cost me hours in customer service time, packing, scheduling pickup, etc. not worth the hassle.
