Do Not Buy

When I first used the product it would skip or freeze when running a disk. I assumed it was a disc issue and not the player. But it kept happening with new disks. The player would sometimes freeze and disable the on/off feature. At this point you have to unplug it in order for it to turn off. I called in to Sony for help. They had me run a few troubleshoots. In the end the player no longer reads disks after I updated the software. Sony is selling a faulty product and not holding themselves accountable. I take care of all my electronics. It’s never been dropped or mishandled in any way. This is just frustrating because I could’ve taken it in for an exchange the very first month I got it but like an idiot I assumed it was just the disc. What’s the point in exchanging when there’s a chance it won’t work again. Don’t buy this crap. Save yourself the money and go with Samsung. I’ve never had an issue with any of my Samsung products.

Lots of issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must have gotten a dud. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes to load a standard blueray. It freezes and i have to go behind all of the av equipment to unplug it to reset, which is almost every movie. Worst part is while the unit is trying to read a disc in the try, it will not let you do anything else. This is a horrible feature. Since it takes 10 minutes sometimes to read a disc, i would like to turn on Netflix or Vudu while waiting, Nope! you have to sit there and wait. i have never had any luck with Sony products though,

4K I guess

needs some basics

When paused while streaming, it keeps the screen up forever which may burn a tv or for sure an older tv. When pausing a disc for too long it shuts off. Then it won't restart where you left off. It does fast forward in pause forward and backwards, very cool.

Skips, freezes up

Its stopped working after using it couple of times

There are no play pause buttons on the player, only way to communicate with the player is thru remote. I ordered a new remote And tried it again but no use. Its so frustrating....

No Good

To restore to factory setting difficult. Everything I own is Sony but this is a terrible DVD player. Don’t buy.

Terrible unit don't buy

Disappointing

I watch 4-10 movies a month and Sony’s upper grade ultra Blu-ray player crapped out on me in 15months. When I contacted Sony I was told it was only under warranty for 12 months. I expected more out of Sony.

A lot of issues

If you don't use if for a few days, it wouldn't even power up when you press the remote. Had to unplug it from the outlet and plug it back in to fix the problems. I think I may need to bring it back even though the return period has passed.
