Great unit, and for a really good price. Unit is well made and hefty weight. Video and sound are excellent.

This was easy to set-up and does everything I was looking for. I have been and always will be a Sony lover.

I love this player. Initially, I was like I'll just stream 4k. Then I heard about Earth2. Tried an episode streaming and it was good. Took the plunge and bought this and the disc..all I can say is wow. Only bummer is limited apps...but those are growing too. I have a Roku, so this isnt a big issue

Replaced old Toshiba unit, which wasn't 4k. Can't afford panasonic or opp. Goes well with my 65ks8000 tv.

Beefy player, quick start up and play back. Make sure you have a hdmi 2.0 cord as it doesn't come with one.

Turned my dumb TV into a smart TV! So easy to use and fits perfectly with my standard 19" stereo equipment

Significant increase in resolution from standard Blu-Ray. Compliments my 4K Sony flatscreen extremely well.

Excellent picture quality and the real 4k playback makes this a great player for the extra quality movies.

My primary reason for choosing this Blue Ray was because it had two HDMI outputs. When I had purchased the new Sony Blue Ray player I didn’t read into the features as deep as I should have. I saw it had 2 HDMI outputs and was thrilled with that. However, after purchasing it I discovered that only one of the HDMI outputs had audio and video, and the other had only audio. Then I discovered it only had one digital audio output (besides HDMI). That single output required a digital coaxial cable, not an optical cable (which I’ve got several). So I had to go back to Best Buy and buy one. Then to top things off; when I connected both HDMI’s to two TV’s, and the Digital Coaxial Cable to my audio Preamp, I got a terrible loud feedback. I had to disconnect the HDMI with Audio out only entirely. I could have saved $100 on a different Blue Ray that doesn’t have 2 HDMI outputs. I would have also saved $50 on an HDMI cable that I cannot return because the return time expired before I got around to buying the digital audio cable and hooking everything up. On a positive note; the picture and sound quality is very good.

This came free with my TV purchase and is a great player. A little pricier than some of the other 4K DVD players and not sure the features warrant the extra money.

I purchased this device to replace my seven year old cheap (about $80) sony bluray player that I didn't like because the buttons were difficult to see and it took a long time to boot and respond to commands. This player is easy to use and has fast response. The build quality and picture is great.

I bought this player for the 4K movie player and it is beyond my expectations. Awesome picture and sound.

SO I spent endless hours of comparing/reading, listening, and watching reviews on all current 4k UHD DVD players available. Like anything, they all had plus and minus things about them. However, this Sony player particularly seemed to stand out of vast majority of those who owned/purchased it when compared to other they purchased/tested prior. Most reviews/consumers/experts agreed that this model/make- compared to all other manufacturers players was ranked supreme( in terms of true maximum 4k Ultra high def resolution picture) it also has upscale which is a plus. I also, purchased a Samsung Curved 4k high def tv the same time...WOW boy you talk about in home cinematic amazement. The Sony dvd player is by far bar none breathtaking high def 4k experience in movie watching. Nothing else compares. Is it a lot for a dvd player , yes...but I got an open box in perfect condition. only paid half. So I got lucky I guess. Mixed w/the Samsung large Curve screen 4k UHJ t.v. The viewing experience is astonishing.

The upscaling is fantastic. I just wish it could decode Dolby Vision, but nonetheless it’s a great player

I gave this to my hubby as a gift for Christmas and it's one, if not the best Blu ray players he have ever owned. Only thing I wish it had Dolby Vision support.

Built much better than the equivalent Samsung or LG models. Stay with the company that created the format.

So happy with this 4K player, the best picture you could imagine, so easy to hook up, less than 5 minutes
