If you aren't worried about Dolby Vision, this is the best player on the market right now. That's not to say Sony won't undate it with it in the future but right now this player gets the job done. Especially for the price. Mine came basically brand new. Highly recommended.

I purchased this 4K player so excited I even brought the expensive cable to go along with it. I read the manual, connected it correctly and the problem were plentiful. 1 I had multiple issues with the sound coming out ( no sound) 2 the system froze several times where no matter what you did nothing could unfreeze it unless you unplugged the power source. 3 the display would randomly go black During 4K playback. 4 during Netflix three problems would happen between audio, freezing, blackouts during playback ( note. This is with a Ethernet cable plugged in) after all these issues I went to google and started doing extensive research and finding reviews that these were common problems experience by multiple users. I later tried to perform a hard reset on the system and then my disc got stuck inside until I unplugged the unit and restarted it. After that I went to bestbuy and had a 45 minutes conversation with magnolia home theater and he told me of the best units to replace it with The Samsung 4K 8500 ( the one I now have ) The Samsung 4K 9500 which was $100 more has some pretty cool additional features And the Panasonic 4K player which was out of my price range at $600 which he told me was the best but it didn’t focus on features just picture and audio quality. I have Visio m-65 e0 2017 the upscaling picture on the tv is great as well I hope this review helps

We purchased our UXB-X800 to make full use of the capabilities of our new Sony Bravia OLED TV. It allows the use of one remote to operate both devices and meets all our expectations for image quality and sound clarity. 4K makes a vivid difference.

I bought this not only for the 4K video but it also has exceptional audio capabilities.

This is a really nice 4K blu ray player, well packed and easy to set up. Picture looks great with superb details and great color!!!! 5 stars

I can see some improvements in picture quality so I would say it was a good buy but really can't comment on 4k until I get a great 4k movie.

The picture is so clear and vivid, it realy made the quality of watching movies great.

Sony made a perfect 4k player...crystal clear pic at 4 times HD. It is a heavy beast.
