This blu-ray player works perfectly with my new 4k OLED TV. The picture is so crisp.

This unit has an great picture. 4K movies look like they are right there with you .

Although I've only owned this player a brief time, it has operated perfectly. Blu-ray & conventional DVDs have played flawlessly, as have Ultra HD. I purchased because I've owned Sony players previously without incident. It actually replaces an early Sony Blu-ray player that, after several years of service, retired. That said, I look forward to years of succesful movie viewing; so far, so good!

When my "old reliable" Sony TV started to die on me I decided to go 4K all the way (TV, Blu-ray, soundbar), and it started with the purchase of this player taking the place of my 9 year old Sony Blu-ray player. I've mainly watched standard Blu-ray discs on this so far and the picture and sound are much better than before. I just received my two free 4K UHD discs from Sony but have yet had a chance to watch them, so I can't judge the 4K quality at this time. The disc loading times are quite fast, and the initial setup was fairly simple. The only issue I had was trying to connect to my 5GHz wifi network that doesn't broadcast the SSID, but it connected to the 2.4GHz band that doesn't broadcast the SSID. When I enabled the SSID on the 5GHz band, it connected quickly. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced that or if it is just a fluke with my wifi. Overall I am very satisfied with this player.

I had a first generation 4K from Samsung which would stop during playback for 1-2 mins several times a disc. The Sony is free from any glitches, has an excellent picture, and all the streaming sites I use. Until technology changes I will keep it!!

The player enhanced possibilities of my previous player, which could not play certain types of records, like DVDs produced from European recordings. So far I was able to play any video record I have with a near perfect quality. The controls are easy to use.

This is the best bang for your buc 4k player, it plays all formats this is amazing.

I've only used it a few times but the picture is clear, love the options and while I'm learning what all the buttons do I'm having fun learning. I wish the speeds of the forward and reverse buttons was more clear but it could be just a matter of time.

Beautiful 4K and HDR quality right out of the box. It lacks in apps but it has the essentials (Netflix and Amazon). If you have a Smart TV then it shouldn't be a deal breaker. Best UHD player hands down when considering it's high end quality, build, and price point.

Bought this 4 K player to match my surround sound system, great picture and sound.

This is a great bluray player for the price and the picture. It’s simple to use and easy to set up. If you have regular DVDs it makes them look excellent. The remote is easy to figure out and laid out very well. You won’t go wrong with a Sony!
