IT MAKES EVEN MY DVD'S COME OUT CLEARER AND BLU RAYS ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR AND SO MUCH BETTER IN 1020 AND 4K IS EXCEPTIONAL. THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMEDED FOR ANYONE WITH A PENCHANT FOR 4K.

Sony tops and this is the year of 4K Movies

Samsung is the cheapest, but for a little more you get a lot more bang out of the Sony, and it matches my TV. This will also stream although so does my tv roku and many other devices. I am most excited to see true 4k and invite beautiful girls to chill and watch Netflix :D

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Sony UPB X-800 to replace an older Sony 3D Blu Ray player because it didn't use my 5G wireless internet. It did nothing but buffer while streaming even though I have 300 mbps internet wi-fi I don't have a 4K TV but I do have a 3D tv. The image on the new one is spectacular and so was the old one. It receives 5G internet without a hiccup. It has 2 HDMI outputs but I only use one. I could use the other to connect to my Stereo receiver but I'm getting too old to get down on my knees to pull out all the equipment so that I could hook it up. I'll stick to what I've got. I have no doubt that if I ever get a 4K TV that the Sony Blu-Ray 3D and 4K player will give me spectacular pictures and can't wait for that day.

Detailed playback.

I was shocked at how well a DVD played back through this unit onto a 4K tv looks. You will see things you missed previously. Very user friendly.

Don’t compromise

I already owned one X800 Sony but wanted just a cheap player for my office. The LG UP875 is so bare bones it’s useless! Went back and got another X800 which works perfectly, they update the player constantly which is awesome! Speedy and solid! Grab them up!
